Hogsmeade - Closed Summer « Thread Started on Jul 21, 2009, 8:01pm »
Jake was stood by the shrieking shack, leaning on the fence as he looked out over it. He'd decided to have a rather quiet day today, yet it hadn't really gone that way. He pulled the scarf that he was seen so often with from around his neck and stuffed it carelessly into his coat pocket, letting it half trail on the floor as he stood there in thought. He glanced up at the sky, it looked like rain later. Maybe he'd best head to the Three Broomsticks for a drink to keep 'warm'? Although he rarely got cold since he was a vampire and already classed as dead.
-Langston Rodes- I strod down through Hogesmead, glancing around at the scenery as students crowded around me, pushed and shoved to get by. I tried to move out of everyone's way, but it just wasn't working. I finally forced myself through the crowd towards the end of the street. I knew it led up to the Shrieking Shack though I rarely left Hogsmead during the trips. But today I just needed some peace and quiet to think. For one I had a pounding head ache and for two, I just didn't like crowds anyway.
As I neared the Shack, I noticed another figure staring up at it and groaned inwardly. So much for being alone, I thought. Well, at least it was only one student, I thought, gently messaging my temple. I joined him at the gate, pressing my jacket tighter against me to keep out the chill.
"Hello," I said quietly, keeping my eyes on the shack. I made sure to keep the hair positioned just rightly to keep the scar on my cheek hidden, as for my arms, the heave black jacket took care of that problem.
Jake turned around and looked up as he heard somebody approaching. He smiled at the girl, bearing his fangs as he did so, "hello.." He looked her up and down briefly, before returning his eyes to hers, "getting away from the crowds i take it?" he chuckled slightly and glanced back over to the Shrieking Shack, "me too.. can't stand crowds. Especially since my usual haunts get jam-packed with other students" He noticed that his scarf was half trailing on the floor and frowned slightly, pulling it out of his pocket and winding it up around his hands. This took a while as it was an incredibly long scarf. He glanced back to her as he wound it up, wondering if she was going to talk more or leave him. That's if she'd even noticed the fangs.
I smiled slightly, still not making contact. I kept my eyes on the shack. "Yea, just getting away. I hate crowds to...their so pushy..." I muttered softly, closing my eyes for a moment. I did notice his fangs however, though I did nor said nothing about them even though they scared me. I tried my best not to offend anybody, even though I though he probably would care if I did. "I guess I'm a bit of a clostraphob." I said, shrugging slightly.
He noticed that she was not looking directly at him, he pursed his lips for a moment just out of habit, before licking them briefly. "From one extreme to the other i guess?" he grinned slightly in amusement and glanced at her. He frowned in slight puzzlement whilst he watched her with her eyes closed, before she opened them again, "erm.. are you alright?" He nodded as she gave the comment about her possible being claustrophobic and smiled, "i get like that at times"
I smiled again and nodded slightly. "I just have a headache," I replied. "It's been a long day." I added. This comment made me frown again. I didn't like thinking about today. I didn't even want to get out of bed this morning. but the girl in the bunk beside me and pretty much screamed at me to wake up. I instinctivly reached up to run my hand through my hair and my sleeve fell slightly, revealing the scars on my wrist that led up my arm, but I didn't happen to notice I was too focused on other things. I glanced over at him for a moment, still not making full eye contact and then glanced back up at the shack.
I had never really understood why people found it so intriging. It had been quiet for years. But it was always usually a quiet spot to come to. I could usually get away from the crowd there. I didn't mind talking to this stranger though.
He smiled slightly in amusement at her tale, "well i suppose there's always somebody who has to wake you up when you'd rather sleep?" He followed her gaze to the Shrieking Shack, "fascinating, isn't it?"
(soz short reply, cause star treks back on! hehe *hugglies* xD)
"There is always someone who has to ruin the party, yes," I said smiling. "It's interesting, yes," I replied with a nod. "I've always wanted to see the inside," I commented staring up at the old house.
"Really?" he grinned at her, before glancing around them. Noticing that they were completely alone, he smiled, "would you like to see the inside? I know a way in?"
I looked back at him, not sure if he was for real or not, or even if I should trust him...or myself. I took a deep breath and smiled, letting my curiousity get the best of me. "Oh, why not." I replied with a smile. "Lead the way."

Jake chuckled slightly and nodded, "We'd have to head back to Hogwarts then, the entrance is in the grounds..are you sure you're up for it? It's not exactly a palace inside" he grinned.
